Case Study:

What if an Open House became an industry conversation, drove a workforce strategy and grew into a legacy platform?

The brief was an Open House. I leveraged that event and turned it into an award-winning industry forum focused on attracting, retaining and advancing underrepresented talent. The insights shaped a workforce sustainability strategy and evolved into legacy program connecting scholarships, strategic partnerships, mentoring, employee stories and brand and growth.

Extensive research and conversations with subject-matter experts in the United States and globally sharpened the premise and exposed where the usual industry conversation was falling short. That insight shaped the questions, the panel and the live audience experience.

The result was an industry conversation that generated intelligence the business could act on and became the catalyst for a broader workforce sustainability strategy. The strategy aligned executive investment, partnerships and internal activity, growing into Pass the Spark: an 80th-anniversary legacy program connecting scholarships, mentoring, employee participation, community impact, brand and growth.

Attendance exceeded expectations by 71% and the work has won two industry awards and advanced to national recognition.
